2023 Camp Grant Recipient: Camren Galicia

Camren Galicia was part of the Fort Lupton team that won the inaugural Barron Brawl. He intends to use his camp grant toward the Purler Wrestling Academy Camp this summer.

Each year, the RBS&HF awards $250 grants to each of the schools where Coach Barron served as head coach—Fort Lupton, Heritage, and Columbine High Schools. This year, Fort Lupton’s coaching staff chose Camren Galicia. Here’s what he had to say about receiving the grant.

Thank you for giving me the camp grant; it’s going to help me reach my goals for next year. I joined wrestling to bond with my grandpa, who is the head coach. In doing so, I found out that I’m actually a pretty good wrestler. This year my goal was to make it to state. Next year my goal is to place at state. By attending this camp, it will help me achieve my goal. So thank you again this really helps me and my mom so that I can attend other camps.

Camren will attend the Purler Wrestling camp at Weld Central High School this summer.
